“With this immersive installation, French artist Serge Salat invites visitors to take a journey through endless layers of space, decked out with cubic shapes, panels of mirrors, shifting lights and music. “Beyond Infinity” is a multi-sensory, multimedia experience that blends Eastern Chinese with Western Renaissance.” -My Modern Metropolis

“While the appearance of the work comes from the realm of fantasy and early video games, my conceptual approach looks for ways to function under strict sculptural parameters, much in the same way those early video game programmers navigated the visual and technological limitations of their time.”

“Ward’s site-specific works are intricate and thoughtfully planned geometric installations applied to an interior in a way that comments on the site’s architecture. Ward’s signature medium is tape — be it electrical tape, duct tape or masking tape. Through this medium she explores the unique structures of the sites in which her installations are situated. Ward’s installation embraces all aspects of the gallery space, utilizing the intimate nooks between columns and walls that might otherwise go unnoticed.”

What will the last piece of art ever to be made by a human look like before we disappear from the face of the earth? With this question in mind, 31-year-old Argentinian artist Adrián Villar Rojas created his imposing installation at the (current) 54th Venice Biennale (June 4, 2011 – November 27, 2011). Located in a privileged space at the Artigliere in the very heart of the Arsenale, his project consists of a group of oversized site-specific sculptures made of clay over a framework of cement, burlap and wood; the ‘larger than life’ installation is enigmatically entitled “The Murderer of Your Heritage.”

“She”, is a 1.7-ton onyx sculpture with one side carved and polished and the other left in its natural state. To acquire the stone, ŠARČEVIĆ travelled to the ancient Silk Route city of Yazd in central Iran, from where the block of raw stone was transported by road to Britain for carving and finishing.

“He”, a 1.7-ton onyx sculpture by Bosnian artist BOJAN ŠARČEVIĆ. Presented at Art Unlimited, He (carved from a single block of Persian onyx) is the newly-realized sculptural counterpart to She.

Xavier Antin’s installation piece “Just in Time” uses four devices spanning 100 years of desktop printing to generate a rather lovely book; each printer’s output is the input for the next one down the line.
